Stress Relief Retreat in Chiang Mai – Thailand
Everywhere you look, in your professional or personal life, people these days seem to be stressed out.
People feel like they do not have enough time for leisure because the extent of activities has broadened. We feel other people are doing better because social media shows us every holiday our friends go on.
Work gives us more pressure because advances in communication technology mean that we can now never escape the office.
The list goes on…
Therefore it is no surprise that wellness and health holidays are on the rise. The industry is booming.
Thailand is one of the hottest travel destinations in the world, it is no surprise that the country has also become one of the most popular Health and Wellness Retreat Destinations in Asia. The Buddhist culture and tranquility attracts those seeking to de-stress.
The good news is, a stress retreat does not have to break your bank. While there are plenty of upscale wellness resorts, you can also find some more affordable options.
Stress Relief Package at Tao Garden Health Resort & Spa
Tao Garden Health Spa and Resort is located in the lush environment of Chiang Mai, northern Thailand.
The resort was created by Master Mantak Chia, known around the world for his teaching of Taoist practices and love of nature.
Set among banana groves, papaya trees and rice fields in some of Thailand’s lushest, greenest countryside, it’s 32 acres of what feels like enchanted forest. Dotted among the trees are little wooden cabins for holistic therapy, giant vases, statues and shrines.
The resort provides its guests the opportunity to revitalize body and mind, to discover new energy and to enhance their lifestyle through a unique combination of traditional Eastern healing and spa art, plus modern Western medical science.
A stress relief package has been specially designed here for busy and stressed Westerners, and I was obviously happy to sign up for that. I opted in for the 3 days/2 nights package, however you can also sign up for the 5 or 7 days package.
It’s surprising how full one’s schedule is on a retreat. Far from struggling to find ways to fill empty hours, my schedule for my three-day visit was packed with massages, meditation, yoga, live blood test, holistic consultation and three meals a day.
All of it was included in the package.
Beyond that, guests can rent a bike to explore the area, hike to the nearby dam to enjoy the view, relax in the steam room, work out in the gym or tennis court, swim in the mineral pool or sip a fresh juice at the bar.
While the treatments no doubt contributed much to my well being, so did the profoundly restful sleep I had each night in my well proportioned, wood accented room.
Furnishing here is simple, natural and comfortable, based on traditional Thai aesthetics.
Tao Garden Health Spa & Resort is not a luxury retreat, but it provides everything you need: a comfortable room with AC and WiFi, professional therapists and treatments, simple organic food served in canteen-style and peaceful, green surroundings.
A pricier resort doesn’t necessarily mean a more rewarding experience – and Tao Garden Health Spa & Resort can provide you with what money can’t buy elsewhere: sleep, peace and time to yourself.
By the end of my stay, I felt calmer, looked more radiant, and had far more energy.
Stress Relief Packages start from 390 USD (2 nights, including accommodation, all meals and above mentioned treatements).
