Al Sufouh Beach Dubai – The Hidden Gem
One of the newest additions to the Dubai “beach life scene” is the Al Sufouh Beach!
Well, it has been there for a long time, but nowadays you see more and more cars lined up along the shore and the place has becomes more and more popular, yet a hidden gem for many people.
It is located next to the huge royal mansions on the Al Sufouh Road (the street has recently been renamed to King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud street, the new name is easier to remember. Or NOT).
Some others call it “The Black Palace Beach” or “4×4 Beach” because you ideally need a proper 4×4 vehicle in order to get through the massive sand. If you have a smaller car, you can still go there and just don’t park so close to the sea.
What’s so special about that beach?
It is the preferred spot for people who are looking for a more intimate beach – no endless lines of sun-loungers, no crowds, no flying volleyballs, no children play area or restaurants.
Yet, also no toilet & shower facilities or dining options. Just beach!
Although lots of families come to the beach, it does not get overcrowded and you can always find a space where you can enjoy some privacy.
With views of the Palm Jumeirah shoreline and the iconic Burj Al Arab, it is a perfect place to watch the sunset, take a walk along the beach or to have a relaxed picnic by the sea.
